Today is World Environment Day.  This year the main celebrations are being held in New Zealand.  (Annabelle, have you told your Kiwi friends to subscribe to my blog?  If so, “Hi Kiwi Friends!”)  There are smaller celebrations all over the world.  If there is not one near you, have your own mini-celebration by doing something to help the earth.

The United Nations has released a 202 page report titled “Kick the Habit! Towards a Low Carbon Economy.” which is also the theme for this year’s World Environment Day.  The report lists many things the average person can do to reduce their carbon emisions.  Read this article from Reuters for some of the ideas like drying your clothes on a clothesline and packing lighter suitcases when you travel.
