Organic Clothes for Real Life

In my search for organic and sustainable clothing I’ve noticed that most of what I find is either ridiculously expensive, or it looks like Hippie clothes.  There is plenty of yoga and exercise wear, and shirts with logos such as “Save the Planet” and “Go Green!”  What about ‘normal’ clothes?

Then, a few days ago, I got a catalog from Hessnatur.  They are a German company that is now expanding into the United States.  They have beautiful women’s, maternity, babies, and kids clothes made from organic cotton, wool and silk, as well as natural fibers such as linen, hemp, yak, camel, cashmere and alpaca.

The clothes all look well made and high quality.  They are clothes you could wear to the office, out on a date, or just lounging around at home.  I like the organic wool cardigan with lapels and the cashmere sweater with scooped collar. The classic styles and colors mean that they will look fashionable for years to come, so you will get a good return on your investment.  As part of their introduction, Hessnatur is offering free shipping and returns until December 31, 2008.
