Hello – Welcome to my 100th post!
By now I’m sure you have heard all about CFL (compact fluorescent light) bulbs. They save energy, last a long time, blah, blah, blah. But like so many other things in life, not all CFL’s are created equal. Some have a lot more mercury in them than others, and not all last as long as they could.
The Environmental Working Group has put together a Guide to CFLs naming 7 bulbs they recommend and information on how to handle a broken CFL, and alternatives to CFLs in situations when they are not the right bulb for you. If you are in need of a little light in your life, be sure to read this guide.
