Started across the pond in England, Meat Free Mondays urges people to not eat meat at least one day a week. It doesn’t have to be a Monday, but that rolls off the tongue better than Meat Free Wednesdays, and it’s easier to spell. Eating only vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds one day a week is an easy way to reduce your carbon footprint and get you thinking about new ways to eat the rest of the week as well.
