This week’s basket included Carrots, Summer Squash, Winter Squash, Cucumber, Green Beans, Cilantro, Parsley, Chinese Eggplant, Jalapeno, Basil, Grapefruit, Apples, Pluots, Red Butter Lettuce, Valencia Oranges, Reed Avocado, Garlic, and Grapes. I switched out some chard and red leaf lettuce for extra eggplants and apples.
Last nights dinner was sauteed eggplant with basil, cilantro, onion, garlic and coriander seed served over rice with a side of sliced cucumber. Tonight we are having green beans with potatoes and bbq ribs. The fruit just magically disappears.
